Tackling species and silviculture of trees

Use this template when you can’t recall anything about a species. It will get you at least average marks.

Most important: first memorise the headers for all species, such as distribution and locality factors. That gives you at least 20 headers, including those for tending operations.

Four ways to generate points

1. Derived from memorised facts: if you know the distribution, you can write about temperature, rainfall and more.
2. Generic ones, safe to use: natural regeneration by seed, tending operations.
3. Most probable ones: “light demander” fits 70 to 80% of trees.
4. Ones you can take a chance on: evergreen or deciduous.

This is no foolproof method, but it is enough to secure average marks.
